A Family’s Desperate Wait: Where is Elijah?
The bitter cold of December has settled over Kingston, Ontario, making the disappearance of 16-year-old Elijah a source of urgent and terrifying concern. Last seen on December 5, 2025, in the 200 block of Concession Street, Elijah has vanished into the winter landscape, leaving behind a family gripped by anxiety. While there has been sporadic contact, the silence between messages is deafening, and the fear that he is out there, vulnerable and alone, grows with every passing hour. He was last seen wearing only a thin black Bauer jacket—hardly enough protection against the freezing temperatures. For his loved ones, the uncertainty is a waking nightmare, a constant cycle of checking phones and watching the door, hoping against hope that he will walk back through it safely.
“Tall, Thin, and Vulnerable”: Identifying Elijah
Finding Elijah requires the public to look past the crowds and identify a young man with a very specific profile. Standing at a striking 6’3” but weighing only 125 lbs, Elijah has a slender build that makes him recognizable. He is Métis, with short dark brown hair and brown eyes. Perhaps most heartbreakingly, police have noted that he has visible scarring on his arms—a detail that speaks to a history and a vulnerability that makes his safe return even more critical.
When he was last seen, he was wearing a thin black Bauer jacket with white stripes, baggy blue jeans, and white shoes with distinctive red detailing around the laces. Investigators believe there is a strong possibility that Elijah may have traveled or is currently traveling toward the Ottawa area. We are urging residents in both Kingston and Ottawa to be vigilant. Look at the faces of the young people you pass on the street, on public transit, or in warming centers. That tall, thin teenager in the Bauer jacket could be the boy whose family is desperate for news.
Be the Eyes and Ears: How You Can Help
This is a plea to the communities of Eastern Ontario: please do not scroll past this. The Kingston Police and Elijah’s family are very concerned for his well-being. A 16-year-old should be safe at home, not navigating the streets during a Canadian winter with sporadic contact. If you are in Kingston or Ottawa, please keep your eyes open. If you see him, or if you have any information about his whereabouts—no matter how small the detail may seem—please contact Kingston Police immediately at 613-549-4660 ext. 0. Your call could be the lifeline that brings a scared youth back to safety. Let’s ensure that Elijah’s story does not end in tragedy, but with a safe return to those who love him.
